Isolated pawn is one of the most important strategical concepts in the game of chess. Until and unless a player masters this concept, he isn't comfortable in his middlegame because this a thing that arises in many games and make many players uncomfortable especially when they play with it. But actually its a very powerful weapon in some positions. Mr.Kestony has explained it very nicely, very instructive video.
