Silman's Complete Endgame Course is a great way to study endgames
Chess study material?

"Logical Chess Move by Move" by Irving Chernew, translated several times by different editors is a very good book as it goes step by step (move by move), considering some 33 selected games. It might seem too much repetition. . .but by repeting your lessons is how you learn anything.
Luck soldier, and expect you come back as a general-
Due to my working cycle the next six months (in the Norwegian army), I will have a lot of weeks of spare time. These weeks will be completely at my disposal, so I want to devote them to chess studies.
My level of play goes within the open term of "casual". During the next half year I want to improve my skills significantly. The studies will, by looking at the time for disposal, be quite extensive. Because of this, I need structured and comprehensive learning material. What is the best way to find this? Are there any appropriate textbooks, textbook series or courses? Feel free to share your thoughts.
