Oh goodness, intuitive is EXACTLY how I play!

darkunorthodox88

idk why its often assumed unorthodox players are aggressive, they can be, but a lot of those openings slow the game down not speed it up. for me, i used to be both tricky and positional shunning tactical complications, but as i went from expert to master my approach changed from shunning that to going in balls deep into complications to see who comes out ahead.

that doesnt mean i play like tal however. i just dont shy away from unclear positions if i dont feel im that much worse if at all.

rabbitAAAA

I just start blundering in tactical positions. If I play something such as the King's Gambit I just play positionally and lose all my compensation. Benko Gambit gives positional compensation, but that all slips away when I try too hard to get the pawn back.

i am having trouble with a tricky player. i am practical and technical. any ideas on how to handle tricky players?

Tashriq_Saihan_Shan

I am Alhamdulillah a Tricky player and I always wanted to be tricky but I have to work hard more.

great post, but i want to what style i play pls help me,

i always trying to attack the king, but before the attack i make sure my opponent don't have much activity on the board, if my Opponent defend all, i am making a weird move that seems like a blunder, but if they take it i checkmate him/her or win more material, i am always looking for sacs and to limit my opponents movement, i play same opening repeatedly most of the time, i always lose a game on endgame or when i attack i miss something so my sac worth nothing or i blunder a mate, so which style i play? pls help me!!

Is there any test, personality test or whatever we called it which can determine what kind of Chess styles you belong with? That test would be a great key for everyone to choose his/her openings that will fit comfortably.

Fascinating...

There's gotta be a group for players who sit there calculating like idiots just so people don't think they're patzers who don't think and then goes and plays the intuitive move anyways? :P.

Literally me at every otb tournament, lol
