So if your opponent had a winning advantage on the clock, then his position wasn't really "lost", was it?
You are responsible for your own time management. A chess player who complains that he only lost because he ran out of time is in the same position as a car driver who complains that he only had an accident because he was drunk.

Its the same as in rooting for your favorite sports team. The only time their are "bad calls" is when the call goes against "your team". If a bad call benefits your team? "I didn't see it."
Its the same in chess. No one has a problem with lag or the clock until they lose.

I totally agree with you, playing with no increment has very little to do with skills especially towards the endgame

I like to play with increment, but the real problem was that you thought almost two and a half minutes on move 10.
