Well ... Benko did punch Fischer in the face during a tournament (another story) - perhaps Benko thought it was his due. More likely is that Benko knew Fischer could beat the Soviets - a regime he hated.
As to 960 I always look to sac a pawn for development - but then I only play at long time controls.
Thanks. That WAS helpful. But I encountered the same problem I've been having. I the example/puzzle found in a response, the correct first move was, of course, 0-0. It wouldn't let me make that move - even though the solution did, in fact, play 1. 0-0.
