Chess.com App?

Hi, so after being a longtime member of Chess.com and ICC, I've noticed that the ICC Dasher interface is far faster and much more efficient than the Chess.com online one. Such as the animation when I make my moves are just much more fluid, everything feels much more well-oiled, and I don't experience all the numerous connnections problems I have with Chess.com. Which begs the question, why isn't there a chess.com application? I would love to pay as a diamond member and get a fast and responsive chess.com application interface like ICC's dasher. I heard a while ago that they're developing one? If so, what is taking them so long?

All their focus has been on finishing V3, but I'm pretty sure Erik said a few years back that they weren't working on a client based app anymore.  They decided browser was the way to go.  I have found that stuff in V3 seems to have a snappier response.  Have you checked it out yet?  (Try the New Chess.com at the bottom of the page next to the green pawn)

Ah yes, V3 is much much better than the normal live chess, thanks baddogno - I think they should make the 'try the new chess.com' link stand out more!

Glad to help.  They're just now starting to publicize it.  In a few months it will replace the old version, well, that's the plan anyway depending on how the "debugging" goes.
