chess.com matching algorithm

Anyone else find the matching algorithm isnt entirely random?

I find I usually get people who play the same openings, several times in a row.

Might not get a center counter/scandi opening for 3 days, then get 5 of them in a row. This sort of thing.

Anyone else find this?

Lol now the matching system should also monitor what openings players use and match according to that? Ridiculous.

You are absolutely right, I had queen's gambit 3 games in a row. And this has been happening strangely frequently. I don't know why the acting like a total jerk from the responder, but you're absolutely right.

Why would chess.com monitor openings and throw people in matches based on that? If you think about it, it’s just a waste of time and resources. True randomness is random.

I play the same opening everytime because I am only playing chess a couple months now and I always get almost a mirror image opening game. My rank here is weak but on that other popular site I am 1002 and always totaly random games - here 442.. so its obvious thats how it works IMO

I only play the Scandinavian as Black and the Centre game as white. Never alter.
