As far as I know, only higher rated members get daily ranking. Maybe only the top 15k? I can't say for sure, though.

If you mean the ranking of e-mail chess, then the answer is that not every member plays e-mail chess.
What I think weird, is that the players page on e-mail chess says that there are just over 15K players, but there are over 800 pages of 50 players each.
If email chess is only a little over 10% of the members, what do all the others do? just blog or chat in forums? I dont see the point in joining an online chess site if ur not even going to play chess...

My li'l sister just started playing and she's not yet included in the ranking. I guess it depends on the number of games you have finished. I may be wrong, it's just a wild guess.

the graph only includes people who have played several games. the list is everyone who has played a game.

Unlikely. I have a daily ranking (45th percentile), which according to that math would put me somewhere in the 94th percentile overall. The problem: I kinda stink. 
When you go to the list of countries and members it says that chess.com has 125,000 members, but the daily ranking only consists of 15,000. Can someone explain?
