Is there, or could there be, tournaments on chess.com?  There could be unrated/rated tournaments, different class levels (>1400 to enter)... etc.  I'm sure with the number of players here that brackets would fill up as fast (or nearly) as online poker tourneys... okay, maybe some wishful thinking, but it'd still be fun.

Sounds Cool! I'd love that built into chess.com. I think erik is considering adding this in the future.

I am sure we will see tournaments quite soon. Both Live Tournies and CC.

That feature would make this the best CC site on the net. It's really the only thing that's missing from chess.com compared to some of the pay sites out there.
