The new review needs to be lit on fire and thrown away it’s TRASH IM GOING TO SUSPEND MY DIAMOND MEMBERSHIP UNTIL IT’S FIXED I PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THE OLD GAME REVIEW BECAUSE IT WAS SOLID ON MOBILE AND NOW IT IS LESS THAN WORTHLESS. TIME TO GO BACK TO LICHESS!
This week we got a new game review. How bad is it?
It does what it is designed to do, which is replace quality data with patronizing AI.
I've tried it on both mobile and PC. Both are worse than each other.
My complaint about the review was specifically for the mobile version, I hardly play on the PC, my mouse doesn't move fast enough in those last seconds lol
Rolling out new game play features would usually involve some testing with users. I can’t believe that actually happened given the weight of complaint on this and many other threads. And sure you might say some people like it, and I guess some must; but 5% satisfaction shouldn’t be the bar you set yourselves.

The changes were rolled out to beta first and slowly rolled out to users after. Feedback was taken some things implemented and there have been continued changes based on additional feedback.
@martin_stahl. This is a legitimate question, from chess.com's perspective how is the new game review better than the previous version? Maybe I(we) are using it wrong. If you could explain why this version is better and a way that on mobile I can get right reviewing with out all the scrolling so that I can find the point that the analysis bar drops out of my favor I am all ears
What I posted is accurate. The update was tested and modified based on feedback.

I'm not part of the decision making process and just a user of the review from that perspective. I can't give good answers on the whys of particular design choices.
Personally. I think the web version isn't so drastically different and still has all the pieces I'm interested in using. I completely understand that some features other members liked aren't available and that the current UI is different enough for others not to like.
On the apps, I think a lot of it came down to board size and that influenced the decisions there.

Just a reminder:
User feedback from the very beginning (when this update was first rolled out as a "test" for some users) has been overwhelmingly negative. Almost every single user hates this update, and they will continue to hate it because it is, quite frankly, objectively bad.
There is no record of any meaningful changes supposedly made based on user feedback—because no such changes exist.
Users opinions or feedback to chess.com carry no weight whatsoever, and this thread is rock solid proof of that fact.
It’s remarkable, in a way, how the chess.com team manages to ignore the universal disdain for these updates. The level of mental gymnastics required is almost impressive.
