CGEdition.,
INFO: Downloaded from Amazon for $20.00...Ver.1.0.0
Downloaded to Vista 32bit.Computer went bad.Bought a new Dell with Windows 8,and went back to Amazon;they let me download it again to new computer.W8 said to do something in its compatibility program, and CGE worked.Chip is Pentium 3.0GHz.I like to play the avatars on 2 moves per minute.Lately when the Chessmaster takes it's usual 3-4 min. to make 2 moves. When it is my turn to move,I get the (ching!)warning right away;and gives me about 12 seconds to move, before it says I lost on time. This happened once in awhile before, but now I can't use that setting anymore unless I set it at 1 move per minute. That works even though the CM may use more time then a minute to move.Does anyone have any idea what's happening,or mabey you've had time control problems also??
Also,I thought I'd buy the CD version, thinking it may not have as many glitches as the downloaded one I have.I was amazed to see the price in the $100.00-$148.00 range from Ubisoft as well as Amazon? Why such a price difference?
Chessmaster Grandmaster edition bug: ai players move too quickly

Step one : Did you install the upgrade patches 1.01 and 1.02?

About the price difference, can someone still buy the download version for $20? (My guess is no.)
Hello. I used to play rated games offline against ai players. Before everything worked properly, but today computer started to move too quickly and by the end of the game appears that ai player spent only 1-3 seconds (~60 moves). Usually I play 5 min/game. Funny that in other type of games (unrated) all works correctly.
I restarted Chessmaster and reboot computer, that didn't help.
P.S. Problem was resolved by changing type of time control. I didn't find anything about this bug on the internet, so I decided to create this topic anyway.
