Which edition are your referring to?
There are so many, I keep expecting to see a fresh one titled "ChessMaster Gadzillionth Ultimate Edition!"
I've the 10th edition, it's pretty good. Terrible design though (grabs 100% of my CPU whenever it's merely open, not even just when its engine is working).

nice one; grandmaster edition seems to me at least a lot more user friendly and generally more indepth training and gaming. mini games such as fork my fruit and minefield chess are really clever
how cool is Josh Waitzkin? i adore his attacking style; the chessmaster series have been invaluable to me, and the latest grandmaster edition is just tops. it is probably the best teaching cd rom on the market? unless you know different of course?
my great nephew has borrowed, (acquired) my copy, (i should never have shown him?!) hmm
