Chill Out

If you win a game feel free not to flip and cuss out your opponent... Just saying you don't see the pros crapping in each others coffee if they win so why all the beligerance? I would say I get cussed out more than told good game on this site, kind of a shame.

Obviously this isn't aimed at the whole chess.com community but if you're the type that thinks winning a single online chess game makes you a better person you're very wrong.

Sorry for the rant, just needed that off my chest.

That is an unfortunate imagery, right there! Surprised

Well put Malabrigo.  I am new here, and I am hoping people here will be helpful and fun to interact with.  If I win, I tell them good game and tell them what strategy I tried and such.  When I lose, I hope for the same.  From what I have seen so far, most people are very fun to play against.

Out of three or five hundred games I've had three people give me any kind of smack talk whatsoever, and I don't recall that any used a word that would have made the late Mr. Carlin's list. I've had some people flip out and break stuff on the forums, but only because they wanted me to stop being funny.

So people beat you like a "rented mule" on the board then follow that up with verbal abuse too?  What did you do to anger these people so?

Some people are deeply offended when their opponents are superior. It's akin to saying "Belgium" outside of Earth.

Belgium doesn't exist!  http://zapatopi.net/belgium/

I know it doesn't exist, I secretly ruled it for a while.
