clock stuck?
Looks like a lot of people have been affected from this bug. I don't think there's a fix right now.
There's another thread discussing the same thing~
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/site-feedback/clock-bug-in-the-app
There's this another thread where one of the site's developers have replied. They say they are investigating it.

Do not disconnect and reconnect. You risk being forfeited due to abandonment since you are likely connected.
The issue is well known in Android and iOS.
Fix is supposedly on the way.
1st try to hit the move back button then forward. This usually starts the clock back up. If not - closing the app and reopening starts the clock up again.
Dont know if it’s a bug or what (Servers?) as the lead Developer said a “new build” is coming early this week as a fix.
There are literally dozens of threads throughout all the topics about the current issue of a players clock stopping mid game in the Apps. It is not a connection issue from your end.
Would seem appropriate for an announcement of some kind from Staff - but that never seems to happen. Players who lose by abandonment also risk being placed in the bad sport pairing pool by the bots. I hope this gets addressed. Players upset about losing rating points - tough luck.
Clock freeze has been happening for months but has worsened materially recently. I am now so paranoid that I watch the clock all the time and race to exit and re-open the app when it stalls, as rebooting the app fixes the problem but the price being you loose some time (which is annoying, especially in short format, eg 3min). Presumably, the latest update has some bugs or the server is overloaded with COVID stay at home chess-mania. Please can Chess.com team make some acknowledgement of this significant problem and give us all an indication of when we might expect a fix?
I just played a game - clock stopped 3 times. Close reopen the app.
The head iOS Developer says he just became aware of the issue and identified the problem. Apparently it’s not simply a bug as he said “a new build is expected this week”. A new build implies quite the work up I’d expect. This week might just be a vague promise to calm members down.
For Myself- if not fixed soon I’ll be cancelling membership as my phone is my only option.
The issue seems to be spiraling out of control- new complaints/ threads popping up everywhere.
With no response or recognition from Staff. A lot of upset iOS and apparently Android users.
Yeah .... one would expect Staff to openly address the issue - what with virtually a dozen new threads of complaints happening by the hours now.
Thanks for your patience, all. The fixed version of iOS was submitted to Apple this morning. If they are consistent with their recent turn-around time, we could see it in the Store tonight or tomorrow... They may have a bit of post-holiday-closure backlog though.
(Just as an FYI, this bug was introduced along with some changes we did to reduce back/forth between the app and the Live Chess servers, and thus to reduce demand on the servers themselves. Once we get this wrinkle ironed out, the result should be more performant Live Chess all around.)
DeepGreene is the Director of Communications and heads the Product Team. - A Staff spokesman and not a Developer / Technician.
pedrobolanos is the lead iOS Developer who I owe an apology to. He did respond yesterday in a similar thread telling us of a fix coming up. There are dozens of such threads - but I shouldn’t have said nobody from Staff made any response. The Lead tech did - but many had reported they contacted Staff and were not receiving any feedback.
Till the update is seen in the Apple store-
When the clock freezes - simply swipe to close the app and reopen. The clock starts back up. You will remain connected. If you log out- upon logging back in it’s likely the game will be recorded as a loss by abandonment.
Completely unacceptable. I have lost countless games due to this crap. Dropped my rating over 200 points.
