I think it'd be fun if there were "karate belts" for chess in terms of rating.
White belt: <1000
Yellow belt: 1000
Green belt: 1200
Blue belt: 1400
Orange belt: 1600
Red belt: 1800
Brown belt: 2000
Black belt: 2200
