I'm just waiting for somebody to use the "at your level" phrase on me, because of my 13-something blitz rating, since I got a 2000+ USCF correspondence rating in the 80s, and 1900+ OTB in the 90s

Four years ago I got back up over 1800 USCF, and briefly even had a FIDE provisional rating of over 1900. My routine consisted of playing in USCF "quick" tournaments, doing tactics study, and memorizing games by World Champions, specifically Tal's book on his 1960 match with Botvinnik. Am currently only doing one of the three (memorizing games from the 1987 Kasparov-Karpov match). So I know what I need to do, I just don't do it.
