Computer Analysis

I am curious how to best use a computer analysis of my games to improve. I have the analysis ... along with assessment of moves, ie (mistake, better was ... or blunder ...) and play through them. I I also try to make notes to myself during the game so I can come back and see what I was thinking. Is there a better way to understand and learn from this or is this just the way others approach it too?

Wrote a post about one such method a while back. You might find it useful ...

All notes, analysis, discussion, book reading ect-- have there part but they suffer from the fact they are hindsight. You are seeking what we all want foresight. Faced, as you are in a chess game, with a real situation cannot be planned for.

Sitting in my armchair with a board studying the situation in my online games is totally different from playing face to face unable to move the pieces, small wonder I'm much better at online slow play than real competititve chess.
