Computer chess purchase advice

Hi

I planning to buy a computer chess for my son and I to play with and I would very happy if I could get some recommendations from you here. Just so I will not be misunderstood, with "computer chess" I mean a physical chess board and not a software on a PC or Tablet :-).

I have a few features that I wish I could find on a computer chess:

* A referee that alerts if I make an illegal move. Both when I play against the computer but also against a friend.

* Sensors that detects pressure by using the pieces. I don't like the way Millennium ChessGenius Pro work where you lift the piece and then use you finger to press the square the piece was standing on.

* Not necessary but would be very nice. Magnetic pieces so they stay on the board if need to move it.

Many thanks for any advice

Regards

Hans

Mainly I'd just get a regular chessboard because computer boards are expensive as hell

Hi

Yes some computer chess can cost up to € 2100 (US$ 2400). But for example Novag Obsidian seems to be a nice computer chess board which sometimes can be found around 105 € (US$ 123). That kind of price is ok for me if it has the features I need.

But many of computer chess boards are out of production and it seems like there is only a few companies that still produce computer chess. I don't mind buying second hand, but many of those who sell computer chess on eBay rarely write that much of the features I'm looking for in the descriptions.
