I think that sounds awesome! As a student engineer and chess player, I would love to see a movie where two of my favorite topics collide! It's always fun to see a team of engineers look at and analyze a problem logically... and the guys building the computers for competition, they where doing just that! :D

Hey guys I am producing a movie that I wanted to tell you about.
"Computer Chess” focuses on a computer chess tournament in the 80’s transporting iewers to a nostalgic moment when the battle of technology versus the human spirit seemed a little more up for grabs.

I am working with a cool writer director named Andrew Bujalski (Funny Ha Ha, Mutual Appreciation, Beeswax) and we start shooting in Austin next month.
Do any of you live in Austin? Want to be extras in our film?
Andrew says, “I want the film to be very heavily steeped in the excitement of nerds nerding out in top form - a heartfelt tribute to the intense, brilliant people who devoted their lives to these terrific abstractions, “ said Bujalski. “As computers were exploding into the workplace As computers were exploding into the workplace and home, a group of committed engineers at the vanguard of the technology were trying to teach it what seemed like an almost unimaginable skill—could these machines, these glorified calculators, ever conquer the human world champion in chess?"
We will have some articles about the film coming out next week but we wanted you guys to know about it first. What do you think?
