Computers, Commercial Softwares Or Engines

Some masters and ordinary players blame others for studying with computer and virtually denounce Stockfish, Chessmaster, etc. as necessary evil. I disagree. Computers upgraded the quality of chess. I don't think studying with it is a sin. Well, merely memorizing lines is. Without computer, I wouldn't have probably known thatAdolf Anderssen's "B. to Q's 6th" in his famous "immortal game" is a huge blunder while annotators label it as brilliant.

By the way, commentators who are paid to commentate on games live shouldn't refer to engines. It's annoying. They should be given note. I know one grandmaster who does that.

Very well said, horsey.
