Hello everyone.
Can someone explain to me in lament terms how to determine what the correct next move in a puzzle would be. I sit and do many puzzles but after I consider the possibilities I make a move that would make sense and I am told it is incorrect. After a few tries the engine, or app depending on what I am using makes the moves and they turn out to be something I would not have considered. Sometimes the move is something as simple as moving a pawn one square when a Queen or Rook is sitting unguarded. I'm just wondering if maybe I'm over thinking the moves.
You're prolly looking at the puzzles too hard. The correct move is the best move witch in the puzzles you're doing are more than likely either mate in ones or simply taking a hanging piece
The puzzles are different. some are mate in one or two which are easy. The puzzles I have trouble with are continuations, tactics and strategy. I do get most of them but some of them don't make any sense.
