Correspondence chess rules

So, I like to play correspondence chess and I have entered in a tournament, too. Before starting to play in that tournament, I thoroughly went through chess.com's rules and regulations regarding daily chess. But the way I see it, some questions remain to be answered...

1. Is it allowed to use a board to analyse my move sequence? I don't use an engine, but when I think about my move I'd like to set it up on my irl board and look over the whole setup for my opponent's best move and continuation. I think this is illegal in classical chess, so what about daily?

2. Instead of opening books, can I use chess lesson videos and opening explorers for the opening? Also, what about databases of Master games?

1.  Sure, setting up a board is absolutely allowed for "daily".

2.  I believe the exact term for what is allowed is "any static resource".  The only way you can get in trouble is using an engine (obviously) or checking a DB that's connected to the "cloud" which may have engine input.  For further clarification you may want to join this club and ask there.

@baddogno I don’t think he was just asking if he could set up the game on his board. He wants to move around the pieces to see what would happen if he made a certain move.

And moving the pieces around is fine as well in daily; very much not OK in live.

1. Not only is it allowed, on Daily there is a gray button called "Analysis" on the lower left with a magnifying glass that allows you to do it on chess.com.  You can move the pieces where ever to check your move.

2. Basically anything is allowed for reference except endgame tablebases, computer analysis, and other humans.
