For starters, you blocked in your bishop when you brought the pawn to e3 (move 3). e4 is way better, and guarantees that you'll win back the pawn on c4.

Secondly, on move 18, you moved your rook to e8. It can be captured, and though your defenders equal out his defenders, the rook is worth more than his defenders. So, if you take his defenders and he takes your rook and your defenders, you're giving away points.

On move 26, he took away your other rook's defendant. It was impossible to keep both the rook and the knight, but you should have realized that beforehand.

On move 28, you gave away your pawn - but the game was already lost. sad.png

I'd say you should have played 23.Nxb6+...you were up material so trading down would have been great for you...but im still weak so maybe someone stronger can see something i cant☺

you had a rook and knight vs 2 bishops...and exchanging knight for bishop would have been winning imo☺

3. e4 is more enterprising but then Black can play 3...e5.
3. e3 is fine.

You blundered the game away on moves 25 and 26, when you should have just taken his bishop. You were doing great until then.
