Crybabies

Need to change the way people can leave jackass messages, but have you blocked immediately.  If someone sends you something nasty, it should have a rebuttal by default.  It's like a drive-by shooting otherwise.

It's really stupid that x can lose 100 games, then send hate and have you blocked.  I truly don't know why this is set up as it is.  Another is if some jackass has it where you can't leave on their board, they should not be allowed to leave msgs just the same.

or maybe just have better sportsmanship...that way people won't be leaving hate messages.

Its the internet, it is what it is, and always has been (and long may it continue exactly as it is, unmolested by those who wish to "protect" us).

Pros - instant Chess game whenever you want it, against another human, without having to join a club, or travel to a tournament etc etc.

Cons - Its the Internet, if you don't know what kind of behaviour to expect on the internet, what the hell are you doing on it in the first place?   

people that are having problems socially will continue to put down others.  It's the way they can feel a sense of power.

and thank god the internet gives them a place to show us who they really are....

because at the same time it allows the others to show us who THEY really are... 

Sure, the internet is full of all kinds of slime, but at the same time its full of amazing people who spend their times creating,  sharing,  giving insight and helping others.

The internet shows the human race as it truly is, with all its warts and excrement, but also its greatness too.

Setting aside the hypocrisy of whining about crybabies, I've always thought blocks should be immediately reciprocal.  As soon as you've blocked someone all of the restrictions you've put on them should immediately be applied to you as it pertains to their account as well.  It doesn't solve the hit and run issue, but it does solve the block and harass problem.

I'm skeptical.  I suspect you're just playing the part.

So what you are saying is that if I called you a "Dimwitted Moron" I should be arrested as if I had commited murder. If you claim you were being sarcastic then I will claim because of the previous insult that is impossible.

Generally the victims of murder know their assailant.  That's about it, though, I think.
