If it were not for Churchill, you would be posting here in German, mein Herr.

From an ontological point of view any of us born after he became prime minister wouldn't be here anyway if he hadn't occupied no. 10. All historical events lead to our births.

Incidentally, a German MP has recently suggested that Germans should be learning Arabic. Churchill was in debt to other forces and had his own minders who steered him, like most puppet leaders. German is easier to learn than Arabic. Besides, Germany didn't want war with Britain. Hitler could have easily destroyed theBritish army at Dunkirk.

This game is very depressing. it seems at the top of each hill I climb, I find another incline to climb.

However, what I find interesting on it is, being one of the games more difficult to master, you can enjoy it full level even if you are a beginner.

Well, if the British and the French had made a pact with Stalin's Russia, then WWII as we know it had not started at all. Chamberlain was in 'love' with Hitler, so he never tried in earnest with Moscow. Bad choice!

Agree but is it more enjoyable to win, yes?

Chess.com/forum = 80% nonsense vs 20% contents = chess.com/forum

Have played chess for only a relatively short period but am becoming more and more depressed. I seem to lose every game and find that either my or my opponents pieces are in the way of me achieving a magnificent victory.
Seems that chess is addictive but the more one plays the worse one becomes.

Chess is very streaky...... their are other factors aswell. my playstation hooked up to the tv and i use it to play on this webite. its a terrible connection for blitzgames!! the lastgame i plaed 10 minutes ago,(see my last game) i made the best move of my life, and the screen froze.  my opponent probably jumped for joy,and i got irratated, and toked a bowl.

over the board hes probly a 1300,tournament player. i had position im a better player. its not worth a fuss it lowers my internet rating which is different than me playing at the park.     dont fuss about it. theirs all kinds of chessencyclopedias outtheir. try the encyclopedia of chesswisdom. i read that in the woods with a chesset and its a good book.
