Did I just get accused of cheating or did everyone get the “Play Fair” message?

Hi, when I logged on just now, I had to agree to “Play Fair”. Not abuse chat, abandon games or use an engine. I do NONE of those things. Did someone accuse me of something or is everyone having to agree to that now when they log on? Thanks.

P.S. my last couple of Daily wins were pretty mistake free but I’m also getting killed in some other ones so what gives?

Algorithms don't make judgement calls. Perhaps the message was generated automatically based on those pretty mistake free games???

That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

Nice to know how to report trolls. about 6months back I caught a cheater and he was banned but I didn't get my rating points back. Last week they banned someone I lost 2 games against and then gave me my rating points back. I guess this is a new thing.

I don't play online chess anymore because I am sufficiently strong in 10 minute chess (rating was 2650 and going up based upon lots of wins, no draws, and one loss about 25 years ago) that, being a no-name,  I am pretty sure I would get accused of cheating, and I don't want that. I do, however, play a game a day against LCZero to see its progress.

Your position is much same as the young lady who was accused of unfair play by a GM due to "perfect" and computer like moves....without justification. However, perhaps the notice is just a reminder across the board to play fair when a "perfect game" is played and deter those who consistently plays like one...

Probably a pathetic loser reported to you.😉😂🤣

It may be much simpler than that. There have been concerns that some users end up being banned because they are unfamiliar with the rules, especially in Daily where engine assistance is allowed on other sites. By asking the users to acknowledge the terms there is no more "I didn't know" defense.

I didn't get it.

How do you really know if someone is cheating or they're just good ?
Avatar of jbent02

If they make only perfect moves.
