Die Hypermoderne Schachpartie by Savielly Tartakower was published in 1924 (according to wikipedia). Tartakower died in 1956.

Given this information, does anyone know if enough time has passed that this book is available in the public domain? I assume it's not if there are European Union copyright laws similar to the U.S. Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998.

Any copyright pros out there who know the details?

I would love to publish content from that book on this site, but I don't think I can do it legally :(

Its copyright is up in 2026.

I read "70 years post mortem auctoris (from the death of the author) was agreed in 1993", but I wasn't sure if this revived previously expired copyrights.

It applies retroactively in this case since Tartakower died in 1956.
