Disappointing tournament experience

Few minutes ago I joined my first tournament, a 5 minute blitz.

It was in the 1200-1499 category, and there were 30 people. Then when the tournament start I get moved to a tournament of 6 people!! Half of which retire after the first round, and then at the end of the second round there are only 2 people, me and another guy.

I thought it was quite ugly. I didn't understand why I got moved from a tournament with 30 people, to a tournament with no people at all. In the end it was ridicolous, only 2 players.

If this is a common experience, then I don't really see why to upgrade to a paid membership. I hope someone else had more positive experiences.

You mean here?  I don't think tournaments are the main reason to get a membership.

I'm now participating in a tournament, in which of 30 players 16 already abandoned before the end of the tournament!

I'm not sure what rating really means here, if so many players abandons.

I tried a live tourny awhile back and before I could mouse up I was out of time and I was totally concentrate on that 5 min game.Then it happened a second time.So whats up with thatI was not a premium player at the time but wouldnt think that would have anything to do with the game.
