Just curious - how do they disconnect? Do they log out? I don't think so, since they seem to be able to reconnect quickly.

not sure, but i get a player so-and-so has disconnected, and it happens a lot when i am about to win. the timer keeps going and then there is a message "waiting for so-and-so to reconnect. I usually wait about 45 seconds but then i run out of patience and it's on to the next victim

If I'm playing a live game and the telephone rings I get temporarily disconnected from the game, so there might be a genuine reason for your opponents disconnection

I checked the phone and there was no clicking or high pitched noise.
i am not buying it. I think people just dont like to lose so they disconnect. the other thing i noticed is that if people are losing they deliberatly let the clock run out so that they dont lose any points in the rankings. all in all a sad way to play if you ask me. I can handle a loss
what is up with all these lame players who disconnect when they are about to lose. How pathetic that someone can't take a loss. I took someone's queen a bit ago and he disconnnected. not resigned but disconnected.
