Do online USCF games count towards provisional rating?

I have a USCF provisional rating and would like to get an established rating so I don't pay $300 to enter a tournament with no chance of winning. Do online USCF games count towards this or does it need OTB? Thanks

Online tournament ratings are separate from over the board ratings.

Where do you live? There are probably tournaments for $50 or less.

Online play only impacts the US Chess online rating pools. You can't play online to change your OTB rating.
