I've always thought that it seemed silly that women and men generally compete in different leauges in chess. Recently I read something about the differences in our brains, and apparently men are generally better at spatial reasoning, which is why men always think women can't pack the trunk of the car, why men are better at judging distances, etc. Perhaps this spatial difference would actually effect chess. No, I'm not talking about having queen side space!
Do woman Enjoy Chess
There was an article in Scientific American a while back that was saying something about if girls played more ball sports when young like boys do, they would probably develope better spatial ability. Didn't read it, though.

I agree ClavierCavalier.
Side note: I see you like piano. Have you seen this hilarious but brilliant piece of piano playing by Victor Borge with Franz Liszt?
It is strange that something so stupid would be on a chess site.
Are you kidding, welcome to the world of chees.com

I agree batgirl....very much so
Wow, after 5 yrs. 1 mo. someone finally agrees with me! I feel so vindicated!
I agree with you also Batgirl... and I can bake cakes.. this is one I really did make.. but if chocolate truffles are not your thing, tell me what's your favourite and I will see what I can do!
If you're wondering what that guy is doing, he is raiding our bar.. that's our wine stash down there.
I handmade each chocolate truffle.. cake was for my son's first holy communion party..
You just pluck a truffle off and eat it! The base is a cardboard cone which I painted in white chocolate.
The chocolate is white and dark callebaut chocolate imported from Italy. Not cheap! The truffle mix contains dark chocolate, double cream and a little whisky, not a lot, they are still pretty kid friendly. Inside the truffle mix are whole roasted hazelnuts. The truffles are then dipped in melted chocolate then covered in crushed roasted hazelnuts and almonds, then dipped in chocolate again. I used to make and sell them to cafes and restaurants before my graphic design business got more demanding. Also not much money in sweets making unless you're selling direct to the public.. the restaurants would pay $1 each for them and then sell them for $3 each.. it wasn't worth my time and also you can see I didn't use cheap ingredients.. also was better for my hips to stop making them regularly. .. Now I make them for gift baskets at Christmas and Easter for clients, family and friends. (A good excuse for me to enjoy them again as a treat )
Actually, I typed "John Knox" but it should be "Henry Knox!" I'll change it in the original
