Do you also [use proxy ip] to play?

All was well until 2 weeks ago, I could use this site, and play other people as and when I wanted. But then the site decided to suddenly start taking notice of US regulations that ban the provision of 'services' to certain countries and regions, and I could therefore no longer use the 'matchup' feature to play anyone whatsoever.

Unless I [use proxy ip] to play and change my IP address to make the site think I'm elsewhere.

Funny thing about proxy IP addresses though, is that they are notoriously unreliable during live games, and I've 'lost' quite a number of games I was winning because the address 'went down'.

(It's impossible to find another working proxy before timeout)

However, judging by the number of games that I play against other people, by proxy, where their connection 'goes down', it seems that playing against others who are also playing by proxy is incredibly common, so, do you also have to 'use proxy ip' to play?
