All electronic chess games that I've ever looked at will allow you to play either color. It would be a major design flaw to omit that option, in my view: you'd have half a game, not a whole game.

I usually prefer playing as black.

About 50/50 for me.  Though I will play one side may times in a row when trying to learn a new line.  I must have played 10 straight as white with 1. d4 ... a few months back...and then as many as black trying to defend same.  I've only played a computer in recent years.

your missing the point guy (apart from drawmaster). Yes, it probably will allow you to play as black. Look in the game manual, or just look around. there probably will be an option to allow you to play black. hope i helped (although i probably didnt hehe)
