Do you get happy when you win?

Is there any true joy in chess from winning? Like do arrogant winners know deep down that there's always someone out there that can crush them like an insect? Is Magnus the only person with real chess happiness from winning if anyone?

I've found at a certain point of chess overload, that winning feels just like losing. sad.png

Losing is a stronger emotion for me. Not because I really care, but because I’m kicking myself for missing things I shouldn’t have in hindsight. Winning is nice though.

Yeah, it's nice to win.

If we're talking about OTB tournament chess, if I played badly and won anyway, then it's sort of mixed feelings, but if I played well and won then it's good feelings.

Playing well and losing is mixed feelings again.

I get happy when I win. I get an adrenaline rush from playing fast time controls. One of the best things in life is finding a forced checkmate with just enough time left to be able to pull it off.

Happiness?  No.  A sense of satisfaction?  Yes.

It depends. If my opponent played poorly, I get little satisfaction winning. If he played well and I won because I played a brilliant combination or I played the middle game and endgame with near precision... That makes me happy... And proud.
