I prefer open positions. The king's pawn opening fits that better. I like the scotch game, italian game and the ruy lopez which all stem from the king's pawn.

By the way i use Kings pawn game (Pe4) in probably 90-95% of my games with white, sometimes i will do Pd6 when i have black as a response to the other player starting with Pe4

"Pe4" isn't chess notation
i meant pawn to e4
