Do you think chess on wooden board is bound to get extinct

chess on computer is in 2d while chess on wooden board is in 3 dimension. many including me grasp the position quickly on a wooden board than on a computer. but playing on computer is faster.
Playing OTB is more interesting and has extra rules which make it more fun.

I do all my training on a chess board. Why?
There is something about involving the hands and arm in the act of making a move. The actual to touch of a piece. Plus i can take(magnetic of course) it with me without using electricity.
When you want to play your friends in person are you going to use a computer? No your going to use a chess board. Plus there is nothing like seeing the face of your opponent. When they get worried about a move you can most likely see it on their face. Face to face battles in a series of games in the park or a chess club is the ultimate hi. Not a player here would not to sweep an opponent in a series of games leaving them not winning a single game and see the expression on their face. All of us have some of that inside of us we try to get some nasty attacks/tactics for our opponent.
i prefer otb because of the fact that it is more tactile compared to a 2d computer chess board.

Yeah....future World Championship matches will be played on Laptops in the comfort of a living room or bedroom...or maybe in a dedicated Chess Internet cafe. Over -the-board is so last century.

Technology change is merciless, the wooden boards have lived their lives. They are going to get obsolete anyhow whether somebody likes or not, yes many old generations will be having nostalgia about it but I don't see any future for wooden board chess in coming decades. And yes you can play with your oppnents face to face using two laptops on a single table and can see each other's face expressions, guys we live in 21st cetury where everything is getting computerized or in electronic form and chess is definitely one of them.
That's 'cause they have silicon boards now!

What would be the point of two opponents sitting at a table with two laptops ? Chess is a board game...laptops and computers are only used for correspondance chess ....There might be dedicated chess internet cafes, but chess clubs will always have wooden ( or plastic ) boards.
It would be so dumb I would quit chess
