Does abusive language on chess.com acceptable?

I have partake in a few bullet tournaments this pm and after a game with a username [name removed - MOD] he wrote an extreme abusive email to me. I have already switch off my chat facility because of this before.
Should I turnoff the email facility also? If all members receive this kind of abuses on a regular basis, I fear that we may lose member(s) because of a few bad apples!

I tried to attached the copy but can't do it via chess.com post.

From the weird name, I am willing to bet it’s a second, fake account. When people create fake accounts – – this is my theory – – they just garble some letters or some nonsense words, so they can get started and start playing. Then with a fake account they feel anonymous and abuse people. Just block these people.

Here’s a question, has this account only played a couple hundred games? And fairly highly rated?

He’s played about a hundred games or so. He says he’s from Azerbaijan and plays solely bullet. Looks like he joined yesterday and his last login was 23 hours ago

hi

NoviceT808

This was the contents of his email to me

[Please don't duplicate offensive content - MOD]

I have blocked him now.

This kind of abuse is not acceptable.  If someone is abusive, unless it's minor and can be ignored, please report them via the Report button on their profile (the one with the "!"), or by selecting Report Abuse from the Help menu.

A screenshot can be useful too.

Don’t send it to a random user unless they are a officially representing the site. If you want to show us why kind of abusive language they sent you, just type what they wrote in quotation marks and omit letters from the profanity words. Like this:

“haha, you are a fu****ing lose at chess! Eat sh**!”

Sending it to another member who wants to see it doesn’t make sense since they can’t do anything about it . They’re just curious to see it.

If you encounter people who are abusive, is the sites “contact us” feature. The moderators there see it and respond very quickly. You can includescreenshots or just who you played with. I believe site mods are able to open the games you played and see the log of chats. I could be wrong about the chat though.

Cellomaster8, Thanks for telling me he played a hundred games or so and started yesterday. When you add that to the profane email, that totally fits the profile of a second, fake account. I would totally have blocked that account.

Thanks MGleason and Drawgood for your help and guidance. I tried to report it via contact us but wasn’t able to. I will try to look out for the function button as you suggest in this post for future reference. Thanks
