Hell I always feel smarter when I can figure out how to keep using V2 for another 3 or 4 months.

I started using it a couple of weeks ago, when I somehow fell down the Rabbit Hole into it, and when I couldn't figure out how to get back to Kansas, I said to myself, OK -- you're going to make mistakes here in the Matrix, but worse case scenario, you'll be defeated by the Enemy Below, and end up Lost in Space ... (well ,you get the idea...) ... and I'm still here! -- wherever that is.

On V3 at the top of the homepage there is an "Old Chess" icon with the double go back arrows. I have to click on it and wait a few seconds while it thinks about it and then click on it again. Then you get a page where you log on again and finally you are back to reality.
Chess makes one crazy! Especially to losers. Someone is already claiming he plays like Carlsen (another thread). Too much banging of head to the wall and floor.

Including chess in school curriculum could be counter productive after all. And many encourages children to play chess. Perhaps the chess sets package should add this message SUITABLE FOR 12 YEARS AND ABOVE.

How does this explain all of the idiot adults playing chess / those who take up chess after 12 years old and become idiots?

Other factors (games) contributing to the large population of adult idiots are PC games and arcade games. Simpler board games like Monopoly, checkers, othello are preferred for family entertainment. TV is an idiots box as everyone knows.
I agree. Imbalance cause disorders. Responsible parents should not allow children spending too much time on chess ( and tv, tv games, pc games, etc). And adults should self regulate themselves. And children and adults should learn to be gracious losers and humble winners. No banging of heads to the wall and floor.
More proof chess makes one dumber. I mention someone in othet thread claims he plays like Carlsen. Im wrong, its Karjakin he claims to be playing like 😎

Thanks for the backstory, MeTheBox -- it explains everything. You have an Amazing memory for details, considering all the brain damage from the botched surgery... did you ever find out who tripped the surgeon? Never mind ... probably not important now.
