Yeah, he calculate so fast
Does Hikaru Nakamura have quicker eyeballs than most?
He sees these tactics very quickly while his eyes are on chat most of the time. Do you think it's superior anticipation/calculation on the part of Hikaru or do you think his eyes scan things more quickly than most (e.g. restaurant menus, subtitles, YouTube videos etc)?
Did you run them through to verify? Or.......?
The guy is a fighter who is well known trash talker. I have seen him lose badly where he threw out multiple excuses when losing...and on more than one occasion accused the other person of cheating when his arrows didnt work. Its just part of the show.

Yeah, one time he flexed looking at a position for like a second and recreated the board from scratch to match that position. Pattern recognition and good visualization I guess? Or he's an alien.

All healthy human eyes see with the same speed by collecting light at well, the speed of light. And the brain processes these images as fast as 11 milliseconds. The only difference from person to person is how you process these images and that's where his vast knowledge of chess, experience and skills come in to play. In other words it has nothing to do with eyes.

Valley girls ain’t got nothing on Hikaru when it comes to fast talking!
Count the “likes” in every half sentence-
like this ... like that - you know like , but like... he could like stop saying like all the dog gone like time !

Lol, did you get timed out or ignored or something?

I knew a few of the original Valley girls - they could use the term “like” 10 times in a 9 word sentence !
Hikaru gets his side kick saying “like” every third word when they’re telling stories. Retro 60’s. Hilarious stuff. Like it must be like choreographed or something like it. And then those eyeballs- flying about everywhere when playing blindfold following the pieces ... Can’t be human.

I've been studying/prepping watching a lot of Hikaru's games in the event that I play him one day. One thing that I've notice somewhat frequently is that he's exceptionally good with using his knights to fork. Quite often, (to me) it looks like he's completely blundering/sacrificing a piecing, only for his opponent to fall into some weird fork (or crippling pin in some situations).
