Does Magnus have a girlfriend?

I don't think it's so bad to assume Magnus would have a gf rather than a bf.  If it turns out they're gay, ok, fine, your assumption was wrong, and you'll change accordingly. That seems perfectly civil. Just because you make an assumption doesn't mean you have any problem with altering it if you turn out to be wrong.

I said sentimental partner, not partner, and that is just how it is stated in various contracts.

I couldnt care less about sexism or homosexuals but stating that it is stupid to call your girlfriend/boyfriend sentimental partner is stupid is simply retarded.

Just the fact that you have to add "sentimental" to the word is already kind of telling, isn't it? Partner is a very utilitarian kind of word -- you partner with someone to achieve a specific task. To me, instead of turning the word partner into a term akin to "friend" by adding in "sentimental," it just looks kind of weird that those two words would be together. To me, words like that are just a sign of how everyone has to walk on eggshells nowadays, in the US at least.

"Life partner" is better, maybe not a bad way to put it... but it still sounds a bit odd. I banged my life partner today. I don't know.

No is not.

Why does it matter if she is a woman or man? Why cant you simply say you have a sentimental partner? It is actually an interesting and  a phylosophical subject, which your close mind seems to think of as stupid.

What in the hell are you even trying to say?  I said that saying the terms 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend' are sexist, is stupid.  I didn't say the term 'partner' is stupid.  Learn to read.

Elubas

Yeah, it's more like, saying that partner is the only acceptable term is dumb. Because yeah, certainly a bf or gf is a partner in some sense, but it's also a lot of other things.

MAKE ME LEARN TO READ YOU ARROGANT KID.

Go ahead, I dare you big boi. You can't fight my humbilities.

I probably formulated my statement wrongly, just as I usually mix up words when watching youtube videos and writing.

I still think you are stupid, the terms boyfriend and girlfriend may be sexist in certain situations, why do you ask the sex of my life partner? Is it that important to you?

BronsteinPawn

I said sentimental parnter/life partner. And you do not have to neccesarily bang/have only one sentimental partner.

How would you define boyfriend then? Or girlfriend?

Besides the fact that you have the maturity of an 8 year old, when did I ask you the sex of your life partner?  What does that have to do with anything that I said?  Nothing.  Shut up.

I thought you meant sentimental partner as the PC term for "husband," or "wife." If so then I guess you're ok with polygamy but I'm probably misunderstanding you?

BronsteinPawn

Everyone is misunderstanding my humble intelectual superiority. And it is funny to see FixinAHole saying Im an 8 year old when I easily triggered him.

You said that saying boyfriend/girlfriend is sexist is stupid. I said that it wasnt, or that it could be sexist in some scenarios. Why would anyone care about the sexuality of my life partner or about my sexual preferences? I am still a human, not many different than you.

And I stated that pretty clearly in my comment. However Im the one that is supposed to learn how to read.

WHY DONT YOU GO AND FIX YOUR HOLE BY SHOVING A ROOK UP ON IT DUD, GET LOST.

These definitions are actually interesting.

I dont really know how to exactly define life partner/sentimental partner. It would be probably the same definition as boyfriend/girlfriend however I do think the term life partner is actually useful.

Even tho you may not like it, people are still delusional and sometimes do not hire you for being gay (I mean, there are many other forms of this kind of discrimination, not only when getting a job), so if they ask you about your civil status you may want to say I have a sentimental partner instead of I have a boyfriend to avoid some problems.

I mean, like what would you expect from a society that thinks it is OK to carry guns, and that somehow their guns will ever protect them against an opressive government? Respect for the minorities/different people? LOL NICE JOKE BUD.

Elubas

Why would a person who wanted people to have guns feel obligated to not like gay people? If guns had anything to do with gay people I could see it, but...

That's a practical argument for the term, but that is a stray from your original argument that "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" are sexist, disrespectful terms.

BronsteinPawn

Dont ask me, I just wanted to steer this into a rant about guns but I failed.

I should have done this at another time so the average Murican got triggered and started discussing.

The fact that a society is so delusional to think having guns will improve their life somehow just shows they can also be as delusional when it comes to homosexual people. Wether it be good or bad.

Elubas

"The fact that a society is so delusional to think having guns will improve their life somehow just shows they can also be as delusional when it comes to homosexual people."

Oh my goodness. That is one of the weakest arguments I've ever seen. It's like "person x doesn't know much about computer science, therefore they don't know much about anything, because 'knowing about computer science' and 'knowing about anything' both contain the word 'knowing.' "

I mean, yes, belief systems can allow for certain beliefs to often coexist with others, but your way of expressing that is completely off.

Maybe there are 100 math problems that all require the same method, and a person doesn't know that method so tries the same faulty one for all 100 problems. They get a zero out of a hundred, which is a horrible score, but it's only one real error: the same wrong method was used. It's not: "this person is just really stupid and that's the problem." It's more that: there is this one method the person believes to be right and you to be wrong, and that can carry over. It's not an overall state of intelligence that carries over.

BronsteinPawn

No dud, Im right you are wrong.

By delusional and by the guns thing Im trying to say the are retarded, lack critical thinking, and are very close minded. Not that because you lack certain knowledge you dont know about this other topic. And I dont think any homosexual dud would like to live in a world full of retarded, without critical thinking abilities and close minded people.

And even there your argument is quite flawed, if someone does not know about computer science it is just means 2 things.

1- Im superior because I know how to make a computer say Hello World.

2- Im making the easy money, living the happy life and staring into a screen with some characters makes me automatically smart in every other subject.

Get back with stronger arguments plz.

Anyways, this is a topic about Magnus having a girlfriend, so we should probably agree to a draw and leave this for the time we both get to know each other in heaven.

Elubas

"Not that because you lack certain knowledge you dont know about this other topic."

But that's the kind of jump you're trying to make -- and I said any other topic, not some other random topic. You take a specific issue and then turn it into something too general. I don't know how you can expect to go from extremely specific (one issue) and go to something extremely general (intelligence), especially with something like intelligence, since intelligence is really hard to define in the first place.

Remember, you tried to derive the person was delusional, a very general trait, and you used that general trait to derive other things. I'm objecting to your derivation of the general trait.

"Get back with stronger arguments plz."

The argument was supposed to be weak in that case, but in general, of course I would like my arguments to be stronger.
