Let's try to not get too vulgar on this guys. I would say that my dating a goodly amount of women probably kept me from gaining about 250 USCF rating points. 1764 was my highest USCF OTB rating. That was about 45 years ago. I'm 75 now. I'm now down to my floor of 1500. I do have other interests even now that cut into my Chess learning. Let's face it, at my age I can't really learn much more anyway.
