Does the "accuracy" mean much when comparing players?

🤷🏻‍♂️

Might only be available in beta.

I still think ratings are more meaningful

Ratings are, I believe. Is the accuracy thing CAPS?

I guess, IDK

I'll join beta and see what mine is then lol. I deffo think the rating is more accurate however accuracy I think however higher than 50% accuracy means that you're playing well and should get your rating up pretty soon though. That's my logic

Think it's an average of caps

If so, it probably isn’t very good. CAPS score is strange. Ratings are better.

The reason it’s probably lower than your true strength is because it only looks at gsmes you analysed and you’re more likely to analyse a loss than a win😉😣🙊🙊🥳🎉

Haha 😂 wish Chess.com could analyze every single game, guess they don't have the computer power for it. Also, I wonder if they weigh the average, like more recent games are more of a factor than ones played awhile ago...

74.5 is a "C" in the American school system. If I got a C in a college class, I'd be extremely discouraged 🙃

(unless it's a very hard class that I'm just trying to "survive", but don't tell anyone I said this, lol)

Here are the important numbers: A win counts 1, a draw counts 0.5, and a loss counts 0!

It's an average of CAPS across all your games

It would be like comparing players by height.

Thing is, it is useless, because someone who wants to ego boost looks at all their wins and gets 80-90, and someone who looks at their losses, interesting dramatic wins, and draws will get 55-70

Interesting, my accuracy for bullet is 60, which seems mediocre. Is anybody else's average opponent ratings messed up? There's no way my average opponent rating is 833. I know it's still beta but it seems weird lol.

Start thinking that way and your results will improve

For something like blitz playing not the best move, but one that is practical can score well. A complicated move that is bad by the engine, because people can't calculate that well, it is actually a good move!

CAPS is interesting, but rating is a better indicator of current strength.
