I am trying to learn from chess.com and my books but am not really improving I am looking for software that will help me improve I know chess.com trys to do this but like I've said I havent been successful with it. Does this game look worth while?

At $50, yes.  At $150, no.  Try HIARCS Chess, Chess King,  Fritz, or a diamond membership here.  Here are 15 free Chess Mentor courses; they're designed to convince you to upgrade of course, but in the meantime they're free and really well done.
