Does white have an advantage here?

Is white better? If so, why? I don't quite understand why white is better.

I don't understand either.

At least this is a legal position.

It looks pretty level.

If White has any advantage here, it's probably because he can capture the Knight with the Bishop next move and create 2 isolated pawns, which would be targets for attack.  That also removes the drawish opposite-coloured Bishops.  Still going to be a tricky endgame though.

Yes it looks level. I suppose that white being the one to move he could use this to put pressure on black's position. Knight d5 ask a question to the bishop on e7, keep an eye on the b6 square. Or, Bxc6 with the intention of putting pressure on the weak pawns could be of interest. Basically, white have the tempo. Is it sufficient for an advantage? I don't know.

White definitely has the advantage and therefore should try to win.

His bishop is much better than the corresponding black bishop.

He threatens or might play BxN which would give Black two isolated pawns.

Black's bishop is also slightly "bad" as his pawn of e5 blocks his mobility.

White also might be abled to infilitrate with his knight.

This is the type of position a strong player will recognize the advantages of the White position and the disadvantages of the Black position and will play for a win with White.

[I am not saying White has a win--am saying White has the advantage and should keep on playing and try to exploit the weaknesses of Black]
