Draw?

I have been playing chess so many years and one says to me something I didn't know:

"When a player eliminated all his partner pieces but the king, he has only 3 moves to do checkmate or the game is draw."

Is that true?

wtf hell no. If your opponent has only a king, u have 50 moves to mate him or its a draw. Also 50 moves without capture or pawn push is also draw.

no:

It is 50 moves without capture or pawn push, nothing about bare kings.

By the way, it is not an automatic draw either, the player must claim it.

actually yaeh there is something bout bare kings. if he has only king it is a 50 moves or less win or its a draw

Nope.

Stand-off

@warrior: That is not true. If you push a pawn while the enemy king is bare, the 50 move count resets.
