I played a game today using …1F5 to open against 1C4. I won after my opponent resigned after twelve moves. Is …1F5 a successful opening move?
You played the Anglo Dutch. It has strengths and weaknesses. I play the Dutch and enjoy the games, others are afraid of weakening the f7 square and dont like the game you get against gambits. But black is fine if they play accurately enough. White has a fairly easy opening. The game is asymetrically balanced around knight outposts in the centre usually on e5 for white and e4 for black if the d4 pawn is pushed.
