e4...Nf3...Bc4...Ng5...Nxf7...Nxh8, thoughts?

Any thoughts on this kind of opening? It wins you a pawn and kingside rook if black doesn't react accordingly. I've played it in my last few games and it seems to do fine- it doesn't really neglect developement either (even though 4 knight moves before move 10 is a lot), and once you finish it you're ready to castle kingside, while black has to castle queenside and you're in a decent spot going into the rest of the game- additionally, black has to play 3...h6 or 3...Qe7-f6 if he wants to defend againist 4.Ng5 and then 5.Nxf7.

Obviously this has flaws but I'm fairly new to chess, still figuring these kinds of openings and stuff, so do you recommend I play this regularly?

Cheers

Any player rated over a 1000 will not fall for this happy.png

But I am happy to see you trying things.

I recommend you do at least 10 tactics a day, plus the daily puzzle.

Playing d5 for black, instead of h6...foils your plan happy.png

Ng5 is a move you definitely can play but as LeonSKennedy stated 4. ... d5 will prevent your plan.

Here are the first moves of the Two Knights game:

I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner as white because of the lack of space and developement. The defensive task is really difficult as a beginner.

You should use another line of the Italian which has more attacking prospects or a line which developes more pieces than the line above.

Yeah, I agree. It's hard to play these positions with white because you need concrete knowledge to survive these positions. Black has this knowledge (otherwise he wouldn't entered this line in the first place). Even if black at some point doesn't remember the exact theory moves he still can rely on basic opening principles. Good moves are easier to find with black than with white in this opening especially when you're a beginner.
