Efficient way of improving!

Recently I have played a few games in which I have dominated my opponent, to a point where they have nought to do but sit around in their fortress. But what I struggle with is finishing them off. So, in result, completing endgame drills and tactics trainer should in theory be most beneficial to your overall improvement as these skills are used in actually wining the game. Anybody disagree?

In your puzzle, 22.. ...a2 also wins.. and theoretically, its more sound.
