its not email chess, you dont email your moves in, would be nice though ifyou could do that for the people that might not be able to access this site from the workplace

If this is not e-mail chess, why do you want e-mail chess? This is so much better than what I assume you mean by 'true e-mail chess.' You have a board in front of you, you see the moves, analysis board, moves list, etc.

there is no way to do true "email chess" because you can't embed stuff like flash or javascript or anything into an email...

surely you could make it so all you needed is a jpeg of the game position in the email sent out to you and then you make your move by typing it in as the subject in the reply

you COULD, though then everyone would need to fully understand algebraic notation, you can't replay through the game, the spam issues are a nightmare, email doesn't handle images that well (because of spam)...

I have played email chess at www.ewccf.com for a while now, and I like it a lot. But there are more sites, have a look at google. If you search for email chess or email correspondence chess you'll get quite a few hits.

Good God you guys are so technology dependent. How about just e-mailing the position you played such as Nf6 and your opponent sends you their move the same way? no jpegs just move position.
