It's annoying trying to explain that rule to somebody who doesn't know it. They say they know how to play chess, and tell you they can checkmate you in 4 moves, but they get a surprised look on their faces when you do an en passant move. Or they think you can do it at any time a pawn passes another pawn. Simply akward.

We were talking about moves on a chessboard. So I talked about the rook-moves (not the bishop), in relation to the files and rows on the board.

Btw, I went shopping this morning and when some guy coming from the opposite direction walked by me I slapped his face. He stopped and looked at me bewildered.
